Step 1: Connect Your Extender to the Router

  • Plug in the Extender – Plug your WiFi extender into a power outlet near your router.
  • Press the WPS Button on Your Router – Locate and press the WPS button on your router. It may take a few seconds to activate.
  • Press the WPS Button on the Extender – Within 2 minutes of pressing the router's WPS button, press the WPS button on the extender.
  • Wait for Connection – The LED indicator on the extender should blink and then turn solid, indicating a successful connection.
  • Relocate the Extender – Unplug the extender and move it to a location where it can extend the WiFi signal effectively.
Step 2: Connect Your PS4 to the Extender

Once your WiFi extender is successfully connected to your router, you can connect your PS4 to the extended network for a stronger and more stable internet connection.

  • Turn on Your PS4 – Power on your PlayStation 4 and go to the main menu.
  • Navigate to Network Settings – From the home screen, go to Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection.
  • Choose Wi-Fi – Select Use Wi-Fi and then choose Easy setup.
  • Select the Extended Network – Look for the WiFi network name (SSID) of your extender. It might have a "_EXT" or "_5GEXT" suffix.
    • Enter the Password – Input the same WiFi password you use for the router or extender, then confirm.
